We’re excited to announce a strategic partnership with The Sandbox, one of the most anticipated games and gaming platforms in 2019. The Sandbox is a product from Pixowl, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands.

As part of this partnership, ThunderCore will be investing in The Sandbox to accelerate the growth of Animoca Brands’ user-generated content (UGC) gaming platform that will empower creators through digital ownership and monetization of 3D voxel [1] creations made and shared by users.

ThunderCore will additionally be assisting Animoca Brands on key aspects to bring mass adoption to blockchain technology, leveraging ThunderCore’s integrated user acquisition capabilities that particularly benefit game developers to deploy and scale their decentralized applications (Dapps).

In The Sandbox, any creative person can make their very own static or animated voxel objects — as many as 50 million people worldwide already know how to quickly draw and create using voxels. It’s as easy as using building blocks, and the creative process is aided by the platform’s powerful, intuitive VoxEdit software that empowers anyone to create and animate 3D objects.

ThunderCore will be assisting in fulfilling Animoca Brands’ vision to offer a metaverse where virtual worlds and games will be created collaboratively without central authority. Because game items are tokenized as Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), The Sandbox players will be able to transfer their assets from one game to another, retaining the digital scarcity, security, and authenticity of those assets.

These tokens will be tradeable in a free and open decentralized marketplace for voxel creators and world builders. For example, external game developers could acquire these assets and incorporate them into their own games. And, creators will receive 100% of the price they set for their assets, boxes, and avatars.
